Bug Bites Buggin You?

Seriously, the biggest drag about warm weather in nature is the bite of a bug or spider. Insect repellents don't always scare off the braver species.  Chamomile, oats, and all those creams marketed to relieve the itch are good but i've found something that does the job everytime. The sacred Echinacea plant. I always have a tincture of echinacea on deck. After a day in the sun and I'm in the house relaxing, that's when I notice a puffy red mark and the irritating itch. I just let a drop of the echinacea tincture soak in on the bite site and just about instant relief.
Who knew?

Yea, that's right! A super chilly summer beverage that's keep you going all day. All you need is Alfalfa leaves, lemons, water and some grade A maple syrup. Why maple syrup? It has lots of zinc and maganese which is great for your heart and immune system, plus it's all natural. Lemons are one of the ultimate super foods and Alfalfa is also know as the Father of all Foods, seriously. You can learn about the bountiful nutrients Alfalfa holds in the Herbs A-Z Section. You can find my simple recipe here in the Remedies. Read on about the greatness of the Lemon..

few minutes before bath which relieves head ache and cools the body.
8. Applying lemon juice to acne dries the existing ones and prevents from getting more.

the risk of chemical allergic reactions which is common with hair dyes and bleaches.

Welcome

So I have finally opened up a blog page. I have been working on a booklet about herbs for the past few weeks, perhaps 3 weeks now. Being an Artist and a Mom, it has been a fun challenge finding the time to do it. I decided to start with the herbs I use or recommend most frequently. So far I have covered 9 herbs (Alfalfa, Burdock, Chamomile, Calendula, Dandelion, Echinacea,  Fenugreek, Gotu Kola and Nettle) in rough draft.

Whenever Someone asks me for a remedy I have to do my herbal research and find the best ones for their needs. Making this book will have just about everything organized just the way I need it. Hopefully it will be comprehensive enough to share with my internet savvy friends as well ;)

 Hang along.
